These mash-up are meant to stir emotions nestled deep in hearts of anyone who ever spent a Saturday morning on the living room floor with their favorite cereal. Retro Grappler was founded by artist and illustrator, Christopher Smart. A traditional artist who paints undersea life and ocean waves, he wanted to try his hand at creating digital art that combines his affinity towards comic books and Saturday Morning Cartoons. When he coupled the desire to create art with his love of Brazilian jiu-jitsu and MMA, Retro Grappler was born!

Retro Grappler custom gis are a lightweight, no-nonsense gi meant for grapplers who roll continuously. Made of high-quality 350 gsm cotton, our gis feature custom color stitching and embellishment along the inner cuff of the jacket and pants, as well as a smooth liner along the shoulders.
